The kiwi fruit originated from Northern China and was initially known as a Chinese gooseberry. In the early 1900s, a school teacher from China visited New Zealand with some seeds to grow this furry brown fruit. The New Zealander’s then named the fruit after their national bird.

Underneath the furry brown outer layer, the kiwi fruit contains and soft, green colour flesh with many small black seeds. The entire fruit is edible, including the skin and seeds, but it is common for people to peel the skin and only eat the juicy green flesh. I eat the whole thing like a boss.

Slicing them up to have as a dessert is also an option. At any rate, kiwi fruits have a lot to offer, and they taste great.
